Mid-size pickups are becoming more popular than ever, and the 2025 Chevy Colorado is leading the charge with no shortage of power, versatility, and modern appeal. With a refreshed interior packed with intuitive tech and a robust TurboMax engine delivering over 300 horsepower and 400 lb-ft of torque, this truck proves that capability and performance aren’t limited by size.
Peeking Under the Hood
The 2025 Colorado’s powerful TurboMax engine gets 310 horsepower at 5,600 RPM and 430 lb-ft of torque at 3,000 RPM, providing the newest Chevy truck with more than enough strength to handle whatever challenges come its way. Each engine comes with an advanced eight-speed automatic transmission featuring a tow/haul mode, cruise-grade braking, and powertrain-grade braking for enhanced control and performance. To help reduce emissions, every Colorado comes equipped with an automatic stop/start engine function.
Four-wheel drive comes standard across all models this year, and the base-model Colorado WT boasts a single-speed Autotrac transfer case with a two-wheel-drive high mode for better fuel economy, a four-wheel-drive auto mode for wet conditions, and a four-wheel-drive high mode for deep sand or snow.
On Higher Trims
Models like the Trail Boss and ZR2 feature an Autotrac two-speed transfer case, offering a two-wheel-drive high mode for highway driving, a four-wheel-drive high mode for extra traction, and a four-wheel-drive low mode for deep mud, snow, or sand. The transfer case’s AUTO mode keeps the truck in two-wheel drive and automatically engages four-wheel drive when it detects a loss of traction.
The 2025 Colorado Trail Boss includes a unique off-road suspension that gives the truck a taller, wider stance with a two-inch lift. The ZR2 trim comes equipped with a driver-activated full-locking rear differential that significantly enhances traction during your off-road adventures.
Advanced Safety Systems
Reflective LED Windshield Collision Alert
This program comes standard on all 2025 Colorado trims and projects a red flashing icon onto your windshield when the system detects an impending front-end collision.
Following Distance Indicator (FDI) and Forward Collision Alert (FCA)
FDI monitors the Colorado’s distance from the vehicle ahead, displaying the truck’s gap time in seconds. FCA provides tailgating warnings when the Colorado is following the preceding vehicle too closely.
Hitch View
This features not only gives you a close-up view of your hitch to help you line up your trailer, but also allows you to periodically check on your trailer while driving.
Whether you choose the classic WT, the off-road-ready ZR2, or the well-rounded Trail Boss, every 2025 Chevrolet Colorado offers impressive strength and a smooth driving experience.
