Design
When it comes to automobiles, luxury is all about comfort and convenience. The Suburban interior is massive, with plenty of room for everyone to be comfortable even in the second and third rows. Power seat adjusters with 10 ways for the driver and eight ways for the front passenger are a joy, even on long road trips, and tri-zone climate control is simply a lifesaver. It’s also impossible to overstate the convenience of standard rainsense wipers.
Performance
The 2024 Suburban is available in two- or four-wheel drive. The standard engine on all but the top trim is a powerful 5.3-liter V-8, which is mated with a 10-speed automatic transmission. Fuel economy is estimated at 15 mpg in the city and 19 mpg on the highway. Trailer sway control and hill start assist are very welcome standard features. However, the biggest standard luxury may be the Premium Smooth Ride Suspension. It isolates the cabin interior from rough roads to provide a more comfortable ride experience.
Technology
Ample technology is standard throughout the line. The Suburban base model has a 4.3-inch color driver information center and a six-speaker audio system. Its infotainment system includes an 8-inch HD color touchscreen, Bluetooth for two active devices, voice command, wireless capability for Apple CarPlay, Android Auto, and a Wi-Fi hotspot. There are USB data ports for both front and rear passengers. Three years of OnStar Remote Access is included, as well as a three-month trial subscription for SiriusXM with 360L.
Safety
Nothing is more luxurious than keeping everyone safe inside your Suburban, and there is an impressive number of safety features standard even in the lowest LS trim. Not only is there helpful technology such as Front and Rear Park Assist, Rear Seat Reminder, Teen Driver, and an HD camera, but driver’s aids from the Chevy Safety Assist package are also standard and include:
