The 2024 Chevy Tahoe is a large family SUV that contains plenty of technology, has numerous safety features, and delivers a strong performance. When you stop by your Chevy dealer, you’ll be spoiled for choice with all the trims available and the features available on them.
1. Incredible Engine Performance
Each of the three engines available on the Chevy Tahoe is highly impressive. Every trim except the High Country has a standard 5.3-liter V8 engine. A 6.2-liter V8 engine is available on the RST and up, and it’s standard on the High Country. A 3-liter Duramax turbodiesel engine is available on every trim except the Z71.
Here’s what to expect from those engines:
- 5.3-liter V8: 355 hp and 380 3lb-ft of torque
- 6.2-liter V8: 420 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque
- 3-liter turbodiesel: 277 hp and 460 lb-ft of torque
2. Excellent Towing Ability
When your car is equipped with the diesel engine, you can tow up to 8,400 pounds. The Max Trailering Package is available on every trim of the Tahoe, and it equips your car with an enhanced cooling radiator. The four-wheel-drive models of the LS, LT, and RST get a two-speed active transfer case with this package.
3. Lots of Cargo Space
If you have lots of cargo to transport, then the Tahoe will definitely appeal to you. The regular cargo area is 25.5 cubic feet in size, which should be plenty for your everyday needs. However, if you need to expand that by a little, you can fold down the second row to expand the cargo capacity to 70.6 cubic feet. With the middle row folded down too, the total cargo volume in the Tahoe is 122.9 cubic feet.
4. Comfortable Cabin
You’ll enjoy spending time in the cabin, even if the journey is long. There’s a power-sliding center console available in every trim, and it’s standard in the top two trims. Heated front seats are standard on all of the trims except the LS, and heated second-row outboard seats are available from the LT trim and up and are standard on the top two trims.
A heated steering wheel is also standard in the top two trims and available on every other trim except the LS, which is the base trim. The base trim has standard cloth seats, while leather-appointed front seats are standard on the LT and Z71. Those two trims have standard perforated leather-appointed seat trim.

Your Chevy Tahoe is always working to keep you safe. Chevy Safety Assist is standard on all trims and includes features such as front pedestrian braking and lane keep assist.
